A recurring concern for ImaxinaSons has been to reach out to the youngest public: in the early stages of life they can easily be introduced in the world of music in a natural fashion, since they have a huge ability to take up and enjoy new artistic and musical expressions. In this regard, the Festival’s programme has often included some kind of show targeted to whole families, and more specifically to their children.
This has been a repeated request of the Festival’s audience over the last few years: their wish was that we encourage the love of music in young boys and girls −often as demanding, or even more, than adults− with proposals tailored to their needs.
This year we have prepared for them a musical play with live music especially written and composed for Imaxina Sons.
It tells the story of a dog with very little swing who gets in trouble when he meets a group of wicked feline tramps with a lot of swing. The show includes the use of the black light technique and glowing puppets, and live music will become a key element of the performance. The venue will be at the City Council Concert Hall with three showings on the 24th of June.
