19.06.09 Imaxina na Rúa will feature the A Coruña Local School of Music

Imaxina na Rúa (Imagine on the Streets), the programme of outdoor parallel events prior to Imaxina Sons, Vigo’s International Jazz Festival, will continue on Saturday, June 20th. The stars of the day for this session will be the young artists of the A Coruña Local School of Music (Escola Municipal de Música de A Coruña). The Modern Music and Jazz Section of the School as well as the Jazz Seminar held annually at the School are raising an increasing amount of interest among young jazz followers, boys and girls alike. The ensemble which will participate in this 5th issue of Imaxina Sons will be conducted by the School’s head teacher, José A. Acuña, and will be an excellent illustration of the high quality of these young thriving musicians, whose repertoire includes a combination of original tunes and traditional jazz standards.
