22.06.10 Martial Solal opens Imaxina Sons on the night of Saint John (23rd June)
Vigo’s Sixth Imaxina Sons Jazz Festival —organized by the Local Department of Culture— opens on the night of 23rd June (the night of the Summer solstice and a night of welcome to the Summer with a festival of bonfires) with a first class concert by extraordinary French pianist Martial Solal (21:00h., Caixa Nova Cultural Centre).

The band is linked to the A tempo School of Music and is enriched with the participation of secondary education students from the IES A Xunqueira 1 (Pontevedra), who can stand the chance of getting training in jazz music.

10.06.10 Music on the streets, jazz in the night and a show for children part of the programme of events for Vigo’s Sixth Imaxina Sons Festival
The programme of concerts for the Sixth Imaxina Sons Festival —launched last April— is now enriched with a number of activities which complete the comprehensive programme of activities of this 2010 Festival, from 23rd June to 4th July.
Bands of street-wandering musicians, jazz in the night, round table discussions, master classes and —following a demand from the public— a show for children, are all part of this extensive programme of activities organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the municipality of Vigo.
