4.06.09 Squares, streets and jazz clubs wind up the route to Imaxina Sons
Imaxina Sons, Vigo’s International Jazz festival, is only three weeks ahead. The programme of concerts is now enriched by numerous activities, including Imaxina na Rúa (Imagine on the Streets), Jazz na Noite (Jazz in the Night), the street marching bands, round table discussions and two master classes given by key figures of jazz and avant-garde music: guitarist Fred Frith and trombonist Nils Wolgram. The festival, due June 25th to July 5th and sponsored by the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of the municipality of Vigo, is now rounded up with these shows, events and meetings. However, as early as June 6th the engines will start to warm up featuring the enthusiastic musicians of the A Tempo orchestra from Pontevedra (Galicia). They will take a musical stroll all around the squares and streets of Vigo. The Imaxina Sons landscape will spread all over the city.

1.06.09 Imagine there is a party on Thursday, June 4th at Xancara Jazz… and join us
The festival will open on June 25th, featuring Charles Lloyd. On Thursday, June 4th information will be provided about Imaxina na Rúa (Imagine on the Streets), Jazz na Noite (Jazz in the Night), the street marching bands, the cycle of round table discussions, and the master classes. Everything is now ready, and it is just three weeks for the festival’s opening session. For that reason we would like to invite you all to a party at Xancara Jazz Club (Rúa Isabel II, 6 Vigo) on that date at 21.00h.
